Hello from Ennis. It's just a hunch but I think you can go fishing here.
Today was 40m mainly gradual downhill. Montana is really beautiful, lots of open space, mountains, ranches and big sky. Cycling is a great way to enjoy the scenery. The wind was not too bad today and it was dry and a nice cool temperature.
I met Max coming the other way. He is touring from his home in Eugene, Oregon to Denver, Colorado on his folding bike. He says the gearing is better than a Brompton (though Bromptons fold up smaller) and he loves touring on it.
Tomorrow I will leave the Madison River after 3 days of following it. I start with a 10mile / 2000ft climb through a pass in the rockies. I think I'll need to fuel up on pancakes and bacon first at the Ennis Cafe. After the climb I can look forward to descending to Virginia City which is an authentically restored gold rush town from the 1860s.

Forget The Horse Whisperer, you need to watch A River Runs Through It! All about fishing. Did you give it a go?
ReplyDeleteNot really ever been tempted by fishing! It seems to be the wading out in the streams kind round here and after cycling I like to sit down
